SIMON JAMES,violin, is in his sixteenth season with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra. He has been a member
of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Lincoln Center Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra, the Claremont Trio, the Sonora & Petrus String Quartet, and the Australia Chamber Soloists. He is a founding member of the Seattle Violin Virtuosi and Concertmaster of the Seattle Chamber Orchestra. An active studio musician, he has recorded over 200 motion picture and television scores.
DAVIDA KAGEN, soprano, has performed as the leading lyric soprano for the Wuppertal Opera in Germany, and throughout Europe and the US. Her roles include Constanze in Mozart's Abduction from the Seraglio, Susanna in Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, Alcina in Handel's Alcina, Gilda in Verdi's Rigoletto. Ms. Kagen is on the faculty at Western Washington University.
CHARLES BUTLER, cornet/trumpet, is Associate Principal Trumpet with the Houston Symphony. Other orchestras he has performed with include the Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, Israel Philharmonic, Santa Fe Opera, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Malaysian Philharmonic, La Orquesta de Tenerife and Galica, San Francisco Opera, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic.
KARLA WARNKE FLYGARE, flute, is Principal Flute of the Pacific Northwest Ballet, Northwest Chamber Orchestra and Auburn Symphony. She has been a featured performer in the Chamber Music San Juans, Canadian International Expo Festival, Second City Chamber Series, and Jacobsen Recital Series. She is a past winner of the National Flute Association Chamber Music Series, and is on the faculty at the University of Puget Sound.
PAGE SMITH, cello, is Principal cellist of the Northwest Chamber Orchestra, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Auburn Symphony. She has been featured in NWCO's Showcase Chamber Music, Second City Chamber Music, Mostly Nordic, and Chamber Music San Juans. As principal cellist of the Aspen Chamber
Symphony, she performed on tour at Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival, and the Kennedy Center's Festival of Festivals.
JOHN PILSKOG, violin, is Concertmaster of the Auburn Symphony Orchestra and Associate Concertmaster of the Pacific Northwest Ballet. He has been a featured soloist with the Seattle Symphony, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Northwest Chamber Orchestra, Bellevue Philharmonic and Auburn Symphony.
CONSTANCE WHITMAN GEE, viola, is principal violist of the Charlottesville Symphony and is on the faculty at the University of Virginia. Formerly principal violist of the Orquésta Sinfónica de Tenerífe and the Orquésta Cíudad de Granáda in Spain, she holds degrees from Cal Arts, the Yale School of Music and the University of Maryland.
BUELL NEIDLINGER, double bass, is formerly a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He has performed in numerous chamber music concerts with TASHI, the Budapest, Amadeus and Guarneri string quartets. He also participated in world premiere performances of chamber works by Elliot Carter, Frank Zappa,
Gunther Schuller, and Igor Stravinsky.
